‘what Is Snooze In Gmail’: How To Use The Gmail Inbox Management Feature On Desktop Or Mobile

How to use snooze button in Gmail
  • Snooze is a Gmail feature that helps you stay on top of your inbox by reminding you to follow up on emails you didn’t initially have the time or bandwidth to respond to.
  • The Snooze button appears in the subject line bar of your emails when you tap your finger on or run the cursor over the message in Gmail.
  • You can also search Snoozed emails in a specified folder automatically created by Gmail.

More things are competing for our attention than ever before, making it difficult to keep up with all the emails from work, friends, family, companies, and more. With so much inundating your inbox, it can be easy to miss an email or forget to reply to the few you found time to open.

For those who experience email overload more than they’d like, Google conceived Snooze. The tool helps busy people keep up with a crowded inbox by allowing you to save an email for later. With Snooze, you can designate a pre-selected or customized time for the email to pop back up and remind you to reply.

Google has also added a folder in the Gmail sidebar menu that automatically stores Snoozed emails. You can search those messages to find an email you need to respond to sooner than you thought.

Here’s how to do it.

How To Change Snooze Time On The Iphone In The Clock App

  • How Long Is Snooze on the iPhone?iPhone alarms have a snooze time of 9 minutes, which can seem like an eternity if you are a heavy sleeper or short-lived if you need a little extra time.
  • Why Is Snooze 9 Minutes? The 9-minute iPhone snooze time has its origins in the physical limitations of mechanical alarm clocks setting a 10-minute snooze interval was not physically possible. Why Apple decided to stick with the 9-minute snooze interval when the iPhone has no such limitations is a question only they can answer.

Since adjusting the nine-minute snooze time isnt an option with the iPhones alarm app, one way to work around that is to set multiple alarms at your preferred snooze intervals. Instead of enabling the iPhone alarm snooze option, you can make multiple alarms for 2, 5, or 10-minute intervals, for example. Below are the steps to quickly set multiple alarms as an alternative to changing the iPhone snooze time.

How To Customize Inbox By Gmail’s Snooze Option

Sometimes you just need to snooze an email for later reading. When you want to make that process as efficient as possible, Inbox by Gmail has you covered.

If you’re like me, you will often get a quick glimpse of an email and need to set it aside for later perusing. When that happens, I turn to Inbox by Gmail’s Snooze feature.
