Hari Aids Sedunia Twitter Luncurkan Notifikasi Khusus Hiv Di Indonesia
KOMPAS.com – Hari ini, Rabu diperingati sebagai Hari AIDS Sedunia. Peringatan tahunan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan epidemi Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome dan penyebaran HIV .
Bertepatan dengan Hari AIDS Sedunia 2021, meluncurkan fitur notifikasi khusus bernama “#ThereIsHelp”. Notifikasi itu bisa digunakan pengguna Twitter yang membutuhkan informasi seputar HIV di platform mikroblogging itu.
Peluncuran fitur ini diumumkan langsung oleh Kathleen Reen, Senior Director of Public Policy and Philanthropy Twitter regional Asia Pacific.
“Notifikasi khusus ini akan memberikan informasi seputar HIV dari sumber terpercaya, dan diharapkan dapat mendorong lebih banyak orang mencari bantuan saat mereka membutuhkannya,” kata Kathleen dalam keterangan resmi yang diunggah di blog resmi Twitter, sebagaimana dikutip KompasTekno, Rabu .

Ketika pengguna memasukan kata kunci terkait HIV di kolom pencarian, akan muncul notifikasi khusus di hasil pencarian teratas.
Notifikasi itu akan menuntun pengguna untuk mencari informasi dan bantuan dari sumber terpercaya, baik dari situs web, hotline otoritas kesehatan masyarakat setempat, maupun organisasi non-profit.

Enforcing Its Own Policies
Twitter’s own policies say users “may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. We consider abusive behavior an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence someone else’s voice.” The company has tried to advance its ability to detect unhealthy or unsafe communication on its platform, like through a recent acquisition of an AI startup.
But victims of harassment on the platform say Twitter does not effectively enforce its own terms.
Twitter seems to have done a good job blocking hate symbols like the swastika in Germany, where it is forced to comply with the country’s stricter laws on their usage. Ng said she knows others who have set their location to Germany on Twitter to avoid pro-Nazi or neo-Nazi content “because somehow Twitter manages to keep that off of German Twitter.”
In the U.S., however, Twitter faces political pressure that has put it in a precarious position when it comes to removing content. In April, representatives from Twitter, and were grilled by the Senate Judiciary subcommittee over accusations that they discriminate against conservative speech on their platforms. Sen. Ted Cruz , who leads the subcommittee, suggested Congress could take regulatory action against the companies to decentralize their power over popular forums for self-expression.
Twitter could avoid some questions around its content removal if it did a better job assessing how its features could be used for abuse in the first place, experts said.

How Abuse Harms Twitter
People targeted by harassment say Twitter is also harmed by its own abuse issues.

Fbr Wins First Ever Money Laundering Case
The FBR is currently on a mission to eradicate tax evasion in Pakistan. According to reports, the FBR registered 215 FIRs against 267 accused and attached properties worth Rs235 billion involving a tax amount of Rs76 billion. The FBR also attached 640 bank accounts.
The Federal Bureau of Revenue won its first-ever case of conviction for the offense of money laundering based on tax evasion. To clarify, the accused involved did not pay taxes that matched his vast income.
The Directorate General I & I-IR received financial intelligence regarding a suspects cash and bank transactions. As per details, the business profile of the suspect, Mr. Habibullah proprietor of M/s Rai Trading Company, did not match his financial transactions.
As a result, the Directorate General I & I-IR carried out an investigation. The initial investigation revealed that the accused had six other bank accounts with huge transactions. Total income in all the accounts amounted to a whopping Rs 2090 million. However, the accused paid taxes for only Rs 192,877, and that too for the year 2015.
Due to this, the authorities booked the suspect for huge concealment of income, undeclared bank accounts, and misdeclaration of income to hoodwink the tax authorities.

Moreover, further investigation revealed that the suspect was also involved in money laundering.

Due to security concerns, Twitter wouldnt disclose Agrawal’s date of birth, however, the social media platform confirmed that he was born later in 1984 than Zuckerbergs May 14 birthday.
Per Bloomberg, Dorsey, at 45, was already among the dozen youngest CEOs in the collection of the largest US companies.
A professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business David Larcker said: I dont think the age thing is that big of a deal, especially for companies like this. It could be an advantage.”

Exceeding Revenue Target: Pm Imran Khan Congratulates Fbr On Tax Collection
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated the Federal Board of Revenue team for collecting more tax than the target and said that tax revenue has increased by 37 percent in the last five months.
In his message on social networking site Twitter, the prime minister said that tax collections during November increased by 35% over the previous financial year.

In a Twitter message, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that 37 percent more tax was collected during the last five months of the current financial year as compared to the same period of the previous financial year.
The prime minister congratulated the FBR team on the over-receipt and said that the receipts during the month of November increased by 35 percent from the previous financial year and 37 percent in the first five months.
It may be recalled that the Federal Board of Revenue collected 36.5 percent more tax in the first five months of the current financial year. 2,314 billion was received in the first five months of the current financial year.
The latest tax collection for the current financial year was in November which stood at Rs 470 billion. The FBR had set a tax collection target of Rs 408 billion. More than Rs 62 billion was received from the target.

According to provisional figures released by the board here, the collection also exceeded the set target of Rs. 2,016 billion for the period by Rs. 298 billion.
Taking to Twitter, PM Khan congratulated the FBR team for the remarkable achievement.

ISLAMABAD:
The Federal Board of Revenue has exceeded the five-month tax collection target by Rs298 billion and received around Rs2.3 trillion, largely because of higher collection at import stage, which contributed more than half of total tax receipts.
The FBR remains the main beneficiary of increased imports and the nosediving rupee that significantly contributed to the collection of indirect taxes.
Official statistics showed that where sales tax at the import stage increased 80%, the domestic sales tax collection was negative during the July-November period of current fiscal year.
According to provisional data, the FBR collected net revenue of Rs2.314 trillion during July-November of current fiscal year , according to a statement issued by the revenue board.
It showed a growth of 36.5% over collection of Rs1.695 trillion during the same period of previous year.
In the first five months of previous fiscal year, the FBR had received Rs1.7 trillion in taxes and now it has recorded an increase of Rs619 billion at a growth rate of around 37%.
The FBR has exceeded the target by Rs298 billion. However, out of the excess collection, the contribution of income tax was Rs56 billion and the rest came from sales tax at the import stage and customs duty, showed the provisional figures.
