You can check your or others suspended Twitter accounts in just a few simple steps. While the process may seem a bit intimidating at first, following the instructions listed in the next sections should help you to get started with checking suspended Twitter accounts.

Twitter Account Suspension Or Permanent Suspension
Compared to a Twitter account suspension, all previous enforcement actions were just that: slaps on the rist.
Account suspensions happen if Twitter determines that a person
- has violated Twitter Rules in a particularly egregious way,or
- has repeatedly violated them even after receiving notifications from Twitter.
When Twitter suspends an account, they notify the account owner via email and explain which policy or policies he/she has violated and which content is in violation.
The Last Twitter Suspension
Well, I think to myself, There is no better way to teach about this than to go through it myself.
So, the next step was to confirm my mobile device. After that, I learned that I could repeal the suspension. I went into the Twitter help center and did just that.
Next, I did receive an email from them. This is why I say it is so important to have access to the email you use to open up your Twitter account at all times!
Finally, about 48 hours later I received an email from the Twitter support team. They had unsuspended my account but the reasons why it was suspended in the first place were a little vague.
After reviewing my own accounts I think it may have happened with what Twitter refers to as decks. There were peeps on that account always tagging me with dozens of others in quotes and such. I really did not use the other third-party apps on that account as I wrote about on Medium.
I would thank these peeps and reply. Now, I no longer respond. Of course, I feel bad though Im asking around on Twitter from others using this practice. Stay tuned as they say!

Deactivate Your Twitter Account In The Twitter App
If youre using a smartphone, go to the Twitter app and make sure youre logged in.
- Tap the three-line hamburger icon in the top-left corner. A menu will pop out from the side. Tap Settings and privacy on the bottom.
- Tap Account at the top. In the account settings page, select Deactivate your account at the bottom
- After you read through all your options, Deactivate is on the bottom of the page.
A few things to note:
- To reiterate: your account wont be permanently gone after this process. Twitter retains your information for 30 days before deleting it permanently. To restore your account, just log back in.
- If you plan to create a new Twitter account with the same username and email address as the account youre deactivating, switch the current account to a different username and email address before you deactivate
- If you want to download your Twitter data, do that before deactivating. Twitter cant send data from inactive accounts.
- Google and other search engines cache results, meaning your old profile and tweets may still pop up in response to search queries on occasion. However, anyone who clicks them will get an error message.
Deactivating your account can be a hassle, but to Twitters credit, its much more straightforward than the process of deleting some other services, such as Uber and Lyft.
Twitter Jail From 2013
I landed in Twitter Jail six years ago back in 2013. Back then I was stuck in the Twitter Jail for 48 hours. There was no reason or rhythm to it. Finally, no explanation was to be found via Twitter. It was almost to the day this time in 2017 that my Twitter suspension happened again.

How Does It Work

You dont have to deactivate your account and make a new one. Instead, you can change both of those details in your account settings.
If you want to create a new account with your existing accounts username or email address, you have to change them on your current account. When you deactivate your account, it voids your current username and email address so you cant use them for another account. Instead, change the username and email address before you deactivate the account and save it to confirm the change. Then you can deactivate the account and use the original username for a different account.

Abusing Trending Topics Or Hashtags
HabitatUK comes to mind as the famous story of a company abusing the trending topics hashtags which ended up leading to their formal apology. You dont want your Twitter fails to go viral either. Every time you place a hashtag at the end of your tweet, be forewarned that Twitter is watching to ensure that you are properly classifying your tweet. Dont try to cheat the system to be foundotherwise you wont be found anymore!
How To Report A Twitter Account
You can report a tweet of a Twitter account, a direct message, or the Twitter account itself. You can also report a Twitter account without having a Twitter account if you want to report for violations such as impersonation.
Report a Twitter account on your desktop web browser.

Trending topics are the most discussed topics on Twitter at the moment. Tweeting about a subject thats all the rage is a smart way to market your organization if the tweets are related to what your organization is about. Twitter and other social media giants such as Facebook might in future be asked to pay for the undeniable suffering people can face on their platforms, according to Culture Secretary Karen Bradley.
