  • Open the Zoom client on your computer and create a new meeting. Then, click on the Copy Invitation button on the Meetings screen.
  • Now sign in to Google in a web browser. Then open up Google Calendar and add the Zoom invite link by pasting the meeting information manually in the Notes field at the bottom. Finally, click on Save. You can now add guests and send out invites using the email link as described earlier.
  • Once the attendees accept the invitation, the meeting link will show up in their Google Calendar, and they will be able to participate by clicking the meeting link or the Join Zoom Meeting button.

How To View Upcoming Zoom Meetings On Gmail

Step 1: Open the email thread of the person you want to talk to and click on the Zoom icon on the right sidebar.

Step 2: Select the View upcoming meetings option from the Zoom add-on.

Here, you will be able to see all of your upcoming scheduled meetings as well as your own personal meeting room that others can join using the joining link.

Step 3: Click on Start adjacent to any upcoming meeting available on this list to quickly open the Zoom desktop client and get into the meeting screen directly from Gmail.

In Outlook there are several ways to convert an email to a meeting or an appointment:

  • Reply with Meeting button To convert an email to an event that retains all the information in the email, select the email from your inbox and click the Reply with Meeting button . This button sets up a meeting request to the sender and other recipients of the email with the meeting title taken from the email subject line and the entire text of the email appearing in the event notes. Simply edit the day, time, participants, and title as necessary and click send.

    If you have a challenging time remembering where the Reply with Meeting button is right click on it and add it to your Quick Access toolbar so it is easier to find and use! Note that the Quick Access toolbar is context sensitive so you may have to add the Reply with Meeting button in the Home view and the Message view.

Be careful and remember this method will include the body, subject and recipients of the original email so edit as necessary for confidentiality.

Turn Off The Gmail Vacation Responder Manually

If you get back early from your vacation or you are available earlier than planned, you can easily turn off the vacation responder manually, even if you set an end-date. Simply go back into the Settings and select the Vacation responder off option and click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.

Open up the Gmail app and compose a new email. Tap in the To field and type in the email addresses of people you want to invite. Type “calendar” into the subject line and then type your event information in the body of the email.

How To Start A Zoom Meeting Via Gmail

Once you have successfully linked your Zoom account to your Gmail, you can start a Zoom meeting from right within Gmail.

Step 1: Open the email thread of the person you want to talk to and click on the Zoom icon on the right sidebar.

Step 2: Select Start a meeting.

Step 3: In the next screen, you can add more details like meeting topic, add more participants, enable email invites, and meeting summary. After filling all the details, click on Create meeting.

This will create an instant meeting with all the details on the Zoom add-on. You will be able to view the meeting details including the Meeting ID, password, and joining link. An email regarding the same will be sent to every participant you invited to the meeting.

Step 4: To jump onto the instant meeting on Zoom, click on Start Meeting. A new tab will open on your web browser asking you to open the Zoom app on your desktop. Clicking on Open will directly open the meeting on your Zoom desktop client.

    Step 1: Install the Zoom for Gmail add-on from the G Suite Marketplace. You can do so by clicking Install, then continue, and then Allow .
