    You can download an email template to your computer by selecting the necessary format: PNG, PDF, or HTML. Open the email, and click on the extension icon on the toolbar. In the “Save as” drop-down list, choose the format you need.

  • Open the Compose an email window and insert the template using the steps above.
  • Make any changes you want to the text in the email.

    At the time of writing in February 2022, you can only create and use templates on the Gmail website, not in the mobile apps. And to get started, youll need to enable templates in your Gmail settings.


    Select the Advanced tab and to the right of Templates, choose the option for Enable. Click Save Changes at the bottom.
