If you are like me, the new tabbed interface is actually more confusing than helpful. As such, you probably want a way to be able to turn it off. If so then you are in the right place. This article shows you how to disable, turn off, and remove the new Primary, Social, and Promotions tabs in Gmail.
Drag And Drop Emails Into The Primary Tab
The simplest way to;stop;important emails from landing in your Promotions tab is to drag and drop that email into your Primary tab.
This should ensure that any future emails;coming;from this email address sender will now be sent directly to your Primary tab instead of;the Promotions;tab, but this method is not a permanent solution.
Make sure to open;any emails that are from this sender when they arrive in your Primary tab. This helps Google understand that you value these emails and they deserve to be in the Primary tab.
Otherwise, Google could assume that;as you aren’t opening these emails, they are promotional and should be automatically categorized under your Promotions tab.
Disable The Troublesome Gmail Promotions Tab
The problem I have with that description is other. Ive noticed newsletters that I want to read daily end up in the Promotions tab. Newsletters that are not marketing at all, but let me know what articles I can read on a website. In my opinion, the Promotions tab seems like the pseudo-spam tab.; If this is the case for you, its easy to move them to your primary tab, which is ideally where all of your important mail should be.
To move a message from Promotions to Primary, just do a simple drag and drop.
Then after moving your message to your primary tab, make sure to verify you want it to come there all the time.
Now ideally, that should be the last time you have to think about it, and the newsletter or message you want will always appear in your Primary box.

Quick Tutorial: Delete All Promotions In Gmail At Once
This solution is applicable to Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android and other platforms.
Step 1Sign in to Gmail
Open the web browser on your computer. Go to . Sign in with your Google account. Go to Gmail.
