To upload an image file from a folder on your computer, simply click the gray box and select the image file from the window that appears on your screen. You can also drag the image file itself directly into this gray box.
Once your image is uploaded, click “Add a destination link” on the bottom-righthand corner of the form and enter the website you want this pin to link to when users click on it.

Although you might provide a link to the content you’re promoting in the pin’s description , it’s just as important to include this link in the image you’re pinning. If the image you’re pinning already lives somewhere online, this is easy to do — you’ll simply add the website link first, then select the image you want to pin once this link has been entered.

Why Did My Embedded Pin Disappear
The embed code will disappear. You need to only open it in the text, source, or HTML editor.
If you cant trust yourself to remember, if youre on WordPress:
- Go to Edit my profile.
- Set to disable visual editor.
Option 2: the reason the Pin disappears is that its a link code with no content.
Insert a character like | between the pin embed code and the closing tag < /a> .
I tried it on this post and it did save the code, plus I cant see the character in the blog post.
This is genius!!! I just put a dash before the closing tag and it saved it without any issue! Thank you thank you thank you! I can only image reopening that post for a number of reasons and it deleting all that code I would have been so SAD!
So it might work for you too!
Another way embedded Pins disappear is when the original Pinner deletes their Pin. So, save it to your own board and embed that Pin.
A Lot Of Other Great Pins
This is kind of a trick element because it’s not technically in the pin itself, but because of the way the pin layout looks when expanded, I had to include it here. Try clicking on a pin in Pinterest — when you expand the pin, all the other pin images from the user’s board are pulled in. This gives you more opportunities to engage with your Pinterest followers all without doing a thing.

Your Board Should Be Embedded
Simple enough. One issue that you might run into is after you past the embed code into the Text tab of WordPress, and go back to the Visual tab, your Pins or Boards might not show up. Im not 100% sure why this happens, but it does. In that case, just paste the embed code back into your post, and publish your post/page from there and dont switch back to the Visual tab.
