If you’re using a personal Pinterest account, then switching to a business one is probably the easiest way to help you understand the platform and your place on it. Find out how to get a business account here.
Once you have a business account, you can see your posts’ impressions, and gain insight into your audience finding out key metrics such as their average age and where they’re based. If you have business accounts on other platforms you can then compare this data with them, and tailor your posts accordingly.
Pin Regularly To Gain Followers
Its pretty straightforward as you just need to create a schedule and stick to it. Pinterest has a built-in schedule tool to help you with that. However, you can also use 3rd party tools like Tailwind to utilize advanced options and features.
Pin at least 5 times a day and dont hesitate to repin your pins. If youre using Tailwind, you can use Tailwind communities to expand the reach with more people within the Tailwind communities. This will help you get to know more people in your niche and eventually result in more traffic and revenue.
Pinning regularly will help you in a few ways:
- It will help to gain more loyal followers.
- More pins, more change of exposure.

They do this either through selling fees, listing fees, or other ways.
So if you list your products on your own website or blog, you can make even more money.
Stay Relevant To Boost Your Earnings
The best way to go about adding affiliate pins and earning a commission is to add them to relevant boards. For instance, you do not want to pin an affiliate link to a pair of shoes on a personal finance board, this is spamming and you wont make any affiliate sales this way.
Instead you should create different boards specifically for your affiliate pins. Using the same example as above, if you create a board called Fashionable Shoes and pin all your affiliate shoe pins to it, this is not spamming people.
People are looking at your Fashionable Shoes board because they are interested in shoes. People are much more likely to make a purchase because that is what they are looking for and in turn, you make more money with your pins.
Make sure you also fill in your board descriptions with a nice paragraph on what the board contains. Again, use relevant keywords throughout your descriptions without keyword stuffing.

How To Find More Affiliate Programs To Join
In addition to the affiliate networks listed above, many online retailers have their own affiliate programs.
They will usually have a page on their website about how to join. Alternatively, you can contact their support or marketing department by email or social media.
I recommend brainstorming the stores or products you would like to promote, and then just Google product nameaffiliate to see what comes up.
You can also find affiliate programs for electronic products such as e-books and online courses. This will usually be on the last page/module of the book or course. These work especially well if you have a following in the blogging or business niche!
And you can also use refer a friend type links, that many, many companies offer. You will offer get these offers in emails after you order from a company online. Refer a friend links often reward you in store credit or points rather than cash, but these can still be useful.
Write Relevant And Helpful Content
Now that youve started a blog, write 5-10 blog posts related to your niche that will solve your readers problems.
Before you start writing, take a step back and figure out who your target audience is.
I always recommend choosing something you enjoy talking about.
Dont choose a topic just because you think it will make money. Sure, it may work out, but can you really keep writing about something you dont have a genuine interest in?
The last thing you want is your blog to feel like a chore.
