How to Set Up Instagram Shopping | Add Product Tags on Instagram 2021!

Add Shoppable Tags On Instagram Posts

Once youve been approved by Instagram, navigate back to the Shopping tab under settings and add your catalog. Since the catalog or shop should already be set up on Facebook, its easy to add it to Instagram. Click the catalog you want to connect and press Done.

With your catalog added in, its easy to tag posts with shoppable tags. When creating the post, Tag Products will appear right below Tag People on the same page where you add your caption. Tap Tag Products, search for the product name featured in the image, and drag it to the correct location just like you would to tag a friend.

Keep in mind that you can only tag products on images, not videos, GIFs, or Boomerangs. You can add up to 5 product tags per single image, or 20 product tags in a post with several images.

Go back to old posts and tap the three dots in the right corner and Edit to tag products.

Build and set up your Shop Catalog

Once you have your Page set up, you need to build a Shop Catalog for your Page. So, open your and click Get Started.

Next, press Create a Catalogue and click Get Started. Now, youll see the New catalog page.

Go ahead and choose your Catalogue type as E-Commerce and press Next. Now, you need to set up your E-Commerce platform for your Catalogue.

Then, select Connect E-Commerce platform as your upload method and choose WooCommerce as the eCommerce platform option. Next, you can choose the Catalogue owner. Either set it up as Personal or set up your business account so you can customize your page and catalog as you wish. We recommend you start with the Personal option if you can. However, since we have our business account and catalogs set up, well use our Business account. After that, click Finish Setup.

Once you finish all the instruction pages, click Go to Catalog Manager.

Change Your Instagram Post Captions

To set up Instagram shopping on your website, you need to change your Instagram post caption.

Inside the caption area, enter the link or the full URL of the page you want your Instagram post to link to.
