Way On How To Add Courses On Linkedin

Do you know that knowing how to add courses on LinkedIn will lead you to excellent job opportunities?

Having a degree program is good, and there is no doubt about it. Finishing your courses on a degree not only gives you a sense of accomplishment but also provides you better job position and opportunities.

However, learning does not end in finishing a degree because it is a continuous process. Learning a course that is relevant to your field will look good on your resume. It will also keep you updated on the changes that happened in your industry.

Moreover, one of the best reasons why continuous education is essential is that it will boost your LinkedIn profile.

As you may already know, LinkedIn is a social media site focusing on career development and networking. Sometimes, it is where you can find employers that can offer your dream position. It is also where you can discover possible connections that can boost your career.

If you do not have an account on this site, it is right to get one. All you need is an email address and type your name, and you do not have to pay anything to have access to your profile.

Which Courses Should I Add

When it comes to figuring out which courses to add, dont feel like academic or professional qualifications are all you can talk about.

With a number of professional bodies, industries, and roles considering continuing professional development as a prerequisite demonstrating your commitment to learning is often more important than qualifications alone.

So whether it was a seminar on Agile, a training course in business, an e-Learning exercise or even a webinar related to your field, there are a number of ways to show your skills and knowledge.

And dont worry if youre only halfway through a course you can also list the modules or units youve completed so far.

However, dont be tempted to add everything youve ever done especially if its irrelevant to what youd like to do, or is likely to overshadow other aspects of your profile.

  • Scroll down to Courses and click to add
  • Fill in the Course name
  • Fill in the Number specifying who ran the course, what level it was, which version of the software you learned, the date you attended or anything thats relevant to your particular course
  • Specify whether it was associated with your work experience or education

Heres how to find your Org ID:

  • Log into LinkedIn as the admin for your business’ Organization Page.
  • Check the web address used when you’re logged in as the admin.
  • Your LinkedIn Org ID will be the six to nine digit number included in the address .

Listing Coursework on your Resume and LinkedIn:

Listing coursework is a great way to help key word optimize and show your knowledge to the position applying to, but should be short and only industry relevant, showcasing the most important positions. Listing your entire transcript will make your resume or LinkedIn profile too long, and you will lose interest of potential employers.

  • DO NOT list Introduction to xyz, just list the course. Do not list course I, II and III, just list the course name
  • Do not list the course number keep it short!
  • List RELEVENT coursework! If you were a history major, but changing your degree to marketing, just list marketing coursework.
  • Do not list course basics just industry relevant courses to help key word optimize.
  • Coursework is good to list, even if you have been out of school for some time IF it helps key word optimize your resume. Recent graduates looking for a job or current students looking to build their resume through an internship should always include relevant course work on their resume. Your course work could make up for your lack of hands on experience in the industry.

How to Add a Certificate to LinkedIn – 4K

Do you find that simply listing your degrees on your LinkedIn profile doesn’t highlight all of the learning and development you’ve done since finishing at university?

    You’re not alone.

That’s why LinkedIn has developed a feature to help you showcase the courses you’ve completed during your career.

There are two methods of listing your professional development courses on LinkedIn and each has its advantages. If you would like to emphasize how you’ve endeavored to develop yourself through short courses while on the job, listing courses under the Experience section of your LinkedIn would be the right decision for you.

If you’ve completed longer courses that result in qualifications, the Education section of your resume can help make your degrees look more up-to-date.
