This feature helps you manage multiple accounts from the Gmail interface it works only if you already own the email account linked to the alternate address. How To Create A Second Gmail Address On Your Iphone

You can also add a second Gmail account on your smartphone. Heres how to do it with your iPhone.

Step 1. Open the Gmail app.

Step 2. Tap your Profile icon in the top right corner.

Step 3. Tap Add another account.

    Import Emails And Contacts

    Next, you may want to import all the saved emails and contacts from your old Gmail account to the new one. You can take care of both in one shot by going to Settings > Accounts and Import in your new account. Click the Import mail and contacts link.

    In the pop-up window, type the address for your old Gmail account and click Continue. At the next window, click Continue again. At the next window, confirm your old email address and click Next. Sign into your old Gmail account. Click the Allow button to allow the Gmail ShuttleCloud Migration to access the emails and contacts from your old account. Close the current window.

    The other window should then present your import options. By default, the process will import your contacts, mail, and new mail for the next 30 days. You can uncheck any of these options. For example, if youve already enabled email forwarding, uncheck the option to import new mail for next 30 days. When ready, click the Start import button.

    The window tells you that your messages and contacts are being imported but cautions that it may take several hours or even up to two days before you start to see all the imported messages. Click OK.

    Your new account generates a label for your imported emails with the name of your old email address so you can easily find them. After the import has completed, review the emails to delete any you no longer need. You can also move or change the label for any imported emails to better integrate them into your new account.

    For Android:

  • In the top right corner, tap on your profile picture.
  • Tap Add another account.
  • Choose the account you want to add. Clients such as Outlook, Yahoo, etc. will be pre-populated options. If you dont see your email client, select the option for Other.

    Did you know you can add another email account to Gmail? That allows you to read emails both from your Gmail account and the other account from within the Gmail app. And yes, you can also send emails in that other account from within your Gmail app. This way you dont have to switch between email programs or work your way through a sequence of logon/logoff actions to check mail from other accounts. And they dont even have to be all Gmail accounts.

    There is one caveat though: to set up any non-Gmail email account in your Gmail app you must know the configuration settings of the email account just like you would need to know these for setting up the email account in another mail program like Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird.     How To Add Other Email Accounts To Gmail

    If you have another email account on a service that Gmail supports, you can use that email account inside Gmail. This allows you to see messages from both accounts together, as well as use Gmail’s sorting and searching options. While not all email accounts are supported, most common webmail providers can be added to Gmail.

  • Select Settings.
  • Click the Accounts and Import tab.

    This settings screen has a few options that sound similar, that all allow you to use another email account in different ways.

  • Send mail as allows you to send mail from Gmail using another email address.
  • Check mail from other accounts links another mail account to Gmail, allowing you to check mail from that account from within Gmail.
  • Grant access to your account gives another Gmail user limited access to your mail.
