The simplest way to make a pin image is by using a free tool like Canva. There are many premade Pinterest templates that you can use to design your own pins.
Once, you get familiar with Canva, you can actually start experimenting with new fonts and elements to design a more unique pin image. There is a vast variety of images for free and paid users. How To Pin Something Yourself
Do you have pictures on your computer that you’d like to pin on Pinterest? Do you have pictures of a holiday or weekend event that you’d like to share? Are you confused by how best to do so? Look no further. Here I will walk you step-by-step though the process of pinning a picture from your computer.1. Log into 2. In the top right hand corner, click on add3. This will cause the ADD icon to pop up. The icon reads, add a pin, upload a pin or create a board. To share a picture from your computer, you need to click on upload a pin
4. Next, you will be prompted to browse the files of your computer.
5. Once you pick the image file you want, a thumbnail version of the picture will appear. Next to it, a list of your pin boards will be available in a drop down window. Click on the dropdown arrow and choose the board to which you’d like to pin your picture.
6. Add a description of the picture.
7. Then click, the red pin it button.
Ta-Da! You’ve done it! Go back to your boards to check out your handy work!
Links With Utm Parameters
Although you might provide a link to the content you’re promoting in the pin’s description , it’s just as important to include this link in the image you’re pinning. If the image you’re pinning already lives somewhere online, this is easy to do — you’ll simply add the website link first, then select the image you want to pin once this link has been entered.

Add Title And Description
Write your video pin title and description. The title must accurately state what your video is about. Search engine optimized descriptions should be no more than 500 characters maximum. If you are pinning more than one video, write additional text for each video explaining to viewers what each video on the pin is about.

To make our own carousel pin, you need to have all the images that you want to use, ready and waiting to be uploaded at once.
When you upload your images, you will be asked if you want to make a collage or carousel. Obviously, youll select the carousel option.
Once youve chosen that, you can reorder the images and choose the links that each image should have.
You dont have to give each image a different description if you dont want to, but it will be more creative if you do.

Highlight Your Offerings On Your Pin
If you have something exceptional to say through one of your business account pins or a great comment has been made by another follower on one of your pins, you can highlight the comment. To do so, click on the pin. Click on the three dots under the comment and click on the word highlight when it appears.
Creating A Pin With Multiple Images:
The article also introduced me to a few other tools that I definitely will be using. The one I have already tried out is Pin Them All.
My only complaint with the site is that the resulting pin is linked to their website, not the original source. Im happy to credit their site for helping me create the pin, but that is handled through the caption with their website address that is automatically created.
My solution is to create the pins using Pin Them All, then immediately open the pin on the Pinterest website and edit the website source.

Boards And Board Types
Boards
Think of Pinterest boards as digital mood boards. Use boards to save, collect and organize your Pins. Many use boards to group Pins according to a certain theme or topic. For example, you might create a board around the planning of a product launch event, for seasonal content, or for wedding inspiration.
Group boards
Group boards are the same as regular boards, except more than one person can add content. This format is ideal for marketers looking to share ideas or plans with their team, as anyone can contribute.
Secret boards
A secret board can only be seen by its creator and invited collaborators. When you create one, youll see a lock symbol beside the board name. These are useful for planning you dont want to be public secret boards wont appear in the home feed, in search, or anywhere publicly on Pinterest.
Protected boards
Similar to secret boards, protected boards live at the bottom of your Pinterest profile and only you can see them. However, the Pins on these protected boards can be seen across Pinterest if a Pinner has a direct link.
A Lot Of Other Great Pins
This is kind of a trick element because it’s not technically in the pin itself, but because of the way the pin layout looks when expanded, I had to include it here. Try clicking on a pin in Pinterest — when you expand the pin, all the other pin images from the user’s board are pulled in. This gives you more opportunities to engage with your Pinterest followers all without doing a thing.

As I mentioned in this post, for a while I was creating two new pins for each new blog post I published.
I found this was a great way to pin more and grow my followers and traffic. If you have the time, go ahead and create two pins for each blog post, then when you publish your post, pin the first pin to a board.
Then, wait a day or two before pinning the second pin to a board. Afterward, you can schedule both pins using Tailwind!

If you want people to take the next step with you, then tell them!
Dont assume your Pinterest followers know what action to take. Include a — and make sure its crystal clear.
Would you like your to repin or click-through to your product? Put that in the description or add it as a banner across your image.
Too often businesses leave this key piece out, shying away from the opportunity to direct a potential client or buyer. Dont fall into that trap.

With that said, focus on making new personal boards while joining some high-quality group boards with fewer contributors.
PRO TIP: Another alternative to joining group boards is to start using Tailwind Communities. This will allow you to upload your pins to each tribe where members will share them. Aside from the Communities feature, I also use Tailwind to schedule my pins to both group boards and my own personal boards. Since using Tailwind, my traffic increased from 500 to over 1,500 daily page views !
