The domain name in an email address is not case-sensitive, meaning it doesn’t matter whether you use upper or lower case letters. Does Gmail Recognize Capital Letters In Gmail Addresses As Different
Thank you Vivek for A2A. No, Gmail ignores capitalization in email addresses. Not only Gmail, all other Windows based email service providers ignore capitalization. Unix / Linux were sensitive to capitalization. Few email service providers based on those OS might be sensitive to capitalization. Gmail even ignores dots in email addresses.
Capitalizing The Domain Name
What this means, is that there is no difference between www.gmail.com and WWW.GMAIL.COM.
When it comes to File Transfer Protocols , the same thing applies. This is why there is no difference when sending your emails with or without capitals. You can choose to send an email to:
And the result will be the same.
For this reason, capitalization in an email addresss domain part does not affect its deliverability in any way.

Keyword In Url Affects Search Results
Found Differences In Results Number:
After pouring through the search pages and trying to find any differences between the Capitalized results and Un-Capitalized results, I noticed one difference that could cause the results to be different: The URL!
Take a look at this image:
The only difference that I could think of that caused the disparity with the capitalized keywords and the un-capitalized keywords is the url.
Take a look at the URL in the image one has Curt Gowdy State Park Capitalized and one doesnt. This got me thinking about how Google looks at keyword phrases for search results. Obviously for SEO, Google looks at the URL and Title tag for deciding what page gets ranked where.
As you can see with the search results, people generally make the first letter in each word capitalized, or camelcase, so that its easy to read, but this isnt the case when it comes to the URL. And thats when it clicked for me. The url doesnt usually have keyword phrase within it. So because the Title generally will have the keyword phrase and the url sometimes wont, thats the disparity in the number of resulting pages.
So Does Capitalization Matter In Email Addresses
Short answer: No!
An email address can start with a capital letter or include capitals anywhere in the address. If you happen to capitalize your email address, or your autocorrect simply messes up, fear not.
You will be fine!
Unlike passwords, email addresses are not case sensitive.
Whether or not you add capitals, your email server will read it the same way as long as the numbers and letters match your official email address.
