Can You Share Someone Else’s Instagram Story

How Someone Can Tell That You Shared Their Instagram Story

How to Share Someone’s Instagram Story in your own Instagram Story

There are a few ways that someone can know that it was you who shared their story. Even though Instagram doesnt tell people when their stories are shared, its possible for them to use clues to find out if someone shared their story. These clues can lead someone to believe that it was you who shared their story. Although it doesnt mean that it was you for definite, they can have a strong belief but of course, you can always deny it.

If Someone Tells Them

The strongest way that someone can know you shared their story is if someone tells them. When someone tells them and even shows them that you sent them their story, theres no denying that it was you because everything points back to you. The only way that someone would be able to tell someone else that it was you who shared their story is if you sent it to someone thats close to them. Or, they just thought that itd be funny to tell the person that you shared their story with them.

This is most likely to happen if they the person doesnt follow them on Instagram on Instagram but they know them in real life. If someone follows them and you send their story to that person, there really isnt anything wrong with it because they were going to see it anyway. But if you were being sneaky about it and sharing it with people that dont follow them on Instagram, then youre more likely to have problems with them telling the person who posted the story.

To Conclude Reposting On Instagram

As you may have seen, it is very easy to share posts on Instagram. You can do this with or without downloading any third-party applications.

However, we advise you not to abuse the repost. Instagram is beautiful precisely because it allows you to give life to your creativity, and therefore you shouldnt limit yourself to posting other peoples content. Please also respect the rules and always mention the original author of the shot. It is never nice to steal other content fraudulently, and it is a practice to condemn.

Always ask permission before using content that is not yours and try to limit the practice of reposting. If you know other methods to repost on Instagram, please write them to me, and well be pleased to add them to our list.

Tip #: Maintain Your Brand Aesthetic While Reposting Instagram Stories

The key to strategically using and reposting UGC to your Instagram Stories is to always maintain your overall brand aesthetic.

When it comes to designing UGC Instagram Stories, youll want to incorporate your branded color palette, logo, templates or other aesthetic elements that represent you and your brand.

Brands like Frank Bod do this seamlessly by maintaining their brand colors and fonts throughout.

Summer Fridays and Blue Bottle even go as far as to include their own branded GIFs and create trendy for their UGC Instagram Stories:

Memo Bottle highly curates what user-generated content they share on their feed while these photos look like they could be from a lookbook or photoshoot, theyre all photos shared by their customers and fans!

Instead of sharing the original Instagram post, they are uploading the original photo from the post to stories and then tagging the photographer.

You can create a similar look by either taking a screenshot or asking the creator to share the original Instagram story with you. You could also zoom in on the native story when reposting, but this can create some friction for those wanting to tap through your story, so it may not be the best option .

If you still want to repost Instagram Stories natively, there are a couple you can use to share the original story, but in your own brand style.

Heres the etiquette for reposting videos to your Instagram Story:

  • Get the video creators permission
  • Tag the video creator
