Instagram Has Started Taking A More Aggressive Approach To Combat The Fake Followers And Likes On Instagram

Instagram is Now Hiding Likes from July 2019
and is now expanding the more countries, including Australia, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and New Zealand!
This idea of ‘likes’ being a source of anxiety for young people fits in with a growing body of research about Instagram’s effects on mental wellbeing. Users will still be able to see the number of likes and views their own posts have received.
Edit Your Instagram Stories Post
When you share a post to your Instagram story, Instagram will add a different colored background, which you can adjust. To change it, tap the pencil icon and choose your new color. Next, tap and hold the current background color of the post to replace it with the new color. This piece by the Social Media Examiner shows exactly how this works. And, of course, you can use Instagrams regular story features to crop or edit the photo and add embellishments such as stickers, text, and frames.
Right now, unlike Facebook and Twitter, Instagram doesnt tag the original poster when you share their post to your story. In this case, it shows good social media manners to add a text box to tag the original poster. That way, they will receive a notification that you have shared their post, and you are giving credit where its due. Once youve done thatalong with any other additions you want to makeyou upload it just like you would a regular story. To see this in action, check out this short video from TechCrunch.

Youll know right away if this is the case because once you click the arrow icon, the sharing menu appears, which will either have the option to Add post to your Story or not. If its not there, the user either has a private account or has turned off the ability for others to reshare their posts. If the option is there, click Add post to your Story and then add any text or other effects you want. When youre ready, click Your Story to add it to your Story for everyone to see or choose Close Friends if you just want to share it with a select list of your friends and family.

Are There Any Third
When your favorite apps don’t have the function you wish it had built-in, what do you do? Some folks might go on a quick search for an alternative in the form of third-party apps. Don’t be fooled by any applications that make this claim.
In an article on Reader’s Digest, Alex Heid of SecurityScorecard said, “anything advertising a feature that shows who viewed your profile would not be a legitimate service and should be avoided as it is likely just an app that is there to collect data for those who use it”.
Instagram was acquired by Facebook in 2016, so it makes sense that there is some overlap between them. They have similar privacy settings and you can’t see who has viewed your Facebook profile, either.
