Using G Suite Aliases
If you are using G Suite, Google’s paid business line of email and office software, you can create multiple aliases for an email address. The administrator on the G Suite account for your business can add or remove aliases for individual users that they can use to send and receive mail.
You cannot use the aliases to sign in to your account, only to send and receive mail.
How To Configure Multiple Gmail Accounts On An Android
Adding one or more additional Gmail accounts to your Android phone is a straightforward process.
Tap the Gmail icon on the phone’s home screen or find it in the application list.
In the upper-left corner of Gmail, tap the menu button to display additional options.
Scroll to the bottom of the menu, then tap Settings.
In the Settings page, tap Add account.
In the Set up email page, choose Google.
The phone takes a few seconds to load, and depending on its security, prompts you for a password. That’s because you’re adding a second Google account to the phone by adding this email address.
When it’s done, the Gmail sign-in screen appears. Either enter the existing Gmail address or select Create account at the bottom of the page. If you enter an existing Gmail address, press Next to continue.
Follow the on-screen steps to enter your credentials and other necessary information.
When you’re done, the Gmail Settings appears. The new account is listed below your previous account.
After you add the second account, both of the Gmail accounts are linked to your Android phone, and you can send and receive emails from either of the accounts as needed.

Add Another Email Address
A pop up will open where you need to fill in with the following information:
- Your full name or name of the team in case of a business email
- Your secondary email address
You can either check or uncheck the box to the left of Treat as an alias. If you want to send and receive messages in your Gmail inbox from this secondary inbox, you should mark it. Also, keep it checked if you need to send email messages from a group mailing list. Now, if you need to send emails on behalf of another user or account, you should uncheck it.
It depends on each case, so you should look at this to know more about this option.
There is a link right under the checkbox that offers you an optional step Specify a different reply-to address. It means that the replies to messages you send will go to this address. If you would like to add this email address, click on it, and a type box will appear.
After completing the info on this popup window, click the Next Step button.

How To Link Your Gmail Accounts
Once all of your Gmail accounts are linked, you can switch between your accounts by clicking on your profile picture and selecting the account you wish to access from the drop-down menu that appears.
Shift streamlines your workflow by keeping the Google tabs, services, and extensions, such as Docs or Drive, associated with each account grouped together.
Choose A Forwarding Option
Go back to your secondary Gmail account and under “Forwarding:”, select an option from the dropdown under “Forward a copy of incoming mail toâ¦”.
Save your changes at the bottom of the page and any emails coming into your secondary account will now be forwarded to your primary Gmail account.
Note that you can also automatically forward emails from non-Gmail accounts. Check the support documentation of the respective email client on how to set that up.

Select Your Default Way Of Replying
Gmail automatically sets your primary email address as your default email address to send new emails with. If you’d like to change that, you can select the “make default” next to the secondary email address you’d like to send new email addresses from.
You can also decide whether you want to reply to emails from the same email address the email was sent to, or from your default email address by selecting the appropriate option under “When replying to a message:”.
Confirm The Forwarding Email Address
Next, go to your primary inbox and open the confirmation email. Here you can either copy the confirmation code or click the link that is on the email. If you chose to copy the code, paste it into the proper field in the Forwarding section of your secondary account. Then click the Verify button.
If you click the link, you will eliminate some extra steps. A new tab will open, where you need to click Confirmno need to come back to the popup window.

How Many Gmail Accounts Can You Have
You are allowed to have as many accounts as you want, and Gmail make it easy to simultaneously sign in to multiple accounts.
If you have more than one Google Account, you can sign in to multiple accounts at once.
That way, you can switch between accounts without signing out and back in again.
Your accounts have separate settings, but in some cases, settings from your default account might apply.
How To Manage Multiple Gmail Accounts Using Shift

Multiple Logins And Google Services
Although email will work with multiple accounts, not all services offered by Google will do so. If you are using an active user account other than your primary account and try to use an app that does not support the use of multiple accounts, you will be logged into the app under your primary mail address. If you want to use these services without signing off from your primary account, you will need to use a secondary browser window or a completely different browser.
Extra : Importing Emails From Non
If you also want to use your primary Gmail inbox to send and receive emails from non-Gmail accounts, you can do so by adding the relevant email address under “Send email as:” as described above, and also having its emails imported.
The downside to using this option is that it’s limited to pulling in emails from just five other email accounts so if you want to manage more than five secondary accounts in your main account, you’ll have to resort to the email forwarding option anyway.
If you do, for some reason, want to use the import option:
- Go to “Settings”> “Accounts and Import”.
- Scroll down to “Check mail from other accounts:”.
- Add the email accounts you want to import emails from.
- Follow the verification process.

Option : Forward Emails From Your Old Gmail Account To Your New One
If option one didnt work for you, its not a total loss. With far fewer steps and permissions, you can have your old Gmail account forward all new emails to your new Gmail account. Here’s how:
1. Log in to Gmail with your old account.
2. Click the gear icon, then click See all settings.
3. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, then click the Add a forwarding address button.
4. Enter your new email address, and click Next.
5. Gmail will open a new window confirming that you want to forward email to that addressclick Proceed, then click Ok in the next window.
6. Gmail will then send a confirmation to your new email account that you want to receive emails from this account. Log in to your new Gmail account, open the confirmation email, and click the confirmation link to initiate forwarding. On the confirmation page, click Confirm.
Now all new emails sent to your old email address will be automatically forwarded to your new email address. Youll have to manually change your email address for each place/person still using it, but there are some ways to make that easier listed in the section below.
Managing Multiple Email Accounts With Shift
Your primary Shift account needs to be either a Gmail, G Suite or Outlook account. Other email accounts are currently not supported as a primary Shift account.
After creating your primary Shift account, you can add as many other email addresses as youd like. These additional accounts dont only have to be from Gmail, G Suite or Outlook. Simply click on the Add Account icon on the left side of the page. Enter your email account and password and begin Shifting away!
