This can be used both malicious and unintentionally. Ive seen businesses see that their Twitter account is doing well and attempt to open up another to duplicate the success. They dont realize that all theyre doing is casting doubt on the veracity of the accounts, and theyre causing a loss of trust. Plus, its not like theyre reaching an entirely separate audience theyre just reaching the same people who already follow them.

On the malicious end, someone copying the account of a brand and trying to impersonate them is an abuse method used by scammers to try to either ruin the reputation of a business or steal the information of their followers. Obviously, its not a good idea.

Unlike the app, Twitter on the web will only let you add an existing account. If you need to create a new account, you will have to log out and create it first. You can add an existing account by clicking the three-dot icon next to your display name in the bottom-left corner. Click Add an existing accountand sign into that account.

How To Add Folders To Each Account

You can add folders to an account even if the mail provider doesnt support them. For example, if you have a Gmail account, and you prefer folders to labels, you can add them. Just right-click your account, and then click New folder.

The folder appears as a child of the one you right-clicked. For example, if you right-click the Inbox, the new folder will be a subfolder of the Inbox. If you right-click the email account, the new folder will be the same level as the Inbox. We named our new folders Subfolder of the inbox and Subfolder of the account. You can name your new folder anything you want .

If your email provider doesnt support folders, these wont appear in your online email. Gmail, in particular, though, is quite clever when it comes to folders. It automatically applies a matching label to any email you put in your Gmail account folders in Outlook.

If you apply that label in Gmail, Outlook picks up on this, but it doesnt move the email to the corresponding folder. Instead, it puts a copy of the email into the corresponding folder. This is because, in Outlook, you can only put an email in one folder. In Gmail, though, you can apply multiple labels to the same email.

If you apply multiple labels to an email in Gmail, Outlook has no way of knowing which folder it goes in, so it creates a copy for each folder.

Outlook automatically creates a new folder with the same name.

Options For Changing Usernames

Once youre ready to transition to your new username, there are two ways to carry out the change without losing your followers:

Option 1: Update your username within your existing account. The easiest way to change your Twitter username is simply to edit it in the settings of your existing account.

Option 2: Create a new account to squat on your existing username. This second, more complex option is useful if you prefer to squat on your current username so no one can claim it in the future. But doing so and probably isnt necessary unless you have specific concerns, such as that another user might take over your old conversation history.

How Do I Use Multi

Unfortunately, it is not possible to run multiple campaigns with different credit cards in a single ads account. Each Twitter Ads account has a single default funding source.

In order to use multiple credit cards for multiple campaigns, each campaign must be created in the ads account with the default funding source you want to pay from.

In May of 2013, Twitter released an update to their mobile app that finally brought easy support for multiple Twitter accounts. For many Twitter users, this is likely not a big deal. If youre like me though, you may have a personal Twitter account and a business Twitter account, and managing both from your iPhone was a bit challenging.

This brilliant Twitter update allows you to switch back and forth, and even displays your profile logo when composing tweets so that you have a visual reminder of which account youre using. However, in order to connect that second account, you actually have to go into your iPhones settings. For Android devices, the additional accounts are added within the Twitter app.

iOS has supported multiple Twitter accounts since Twitter was integrated into the OS in 2010, but again, if youre like me, youve never taken advantage of that fact. I will walk you through adding that second account and then how to use the new Twitter to tweet from multiple accounts whenever you wish. If youre on Android and are curious, you can add additional Twitter accounts directly to the Twitter app and instructions are below. I also have a recommendation at the end on an app that you may find even easier to use, particularly if you have several Twitter accounts to manage.

Q.I have two Twitter accounts a personal one and a more professional one I just created for my job. Can I use them both on the same phone?

A. The Twitter apps for Android and iOS allow you to be logged into multiple accounts on the same device. If you are using the Twitter app with your original account, you need to add the second account in the apps settings in order to switch back and forth.

Open the Twitter app and tap your profile icon or the three-lined menu icon on the screen you may see one or the other depending on the version of the app you are using. When your profile panel opens, tap the downward-pointing arrow to open a menu with links to create a new Twitter account or to add an existing one.

Tap Add an existing account. Enter the user name and password for your work Twitter account, and then tap the Log In button to add it.

After you have added the second account, you can switch between them by selecting the profile or menu icon and tapping the downward-pointing arrow again to reveal the icon for your other account.

Those using iOS devices can switch between accounts by long-pressing the accounts profile icon and tapping the other account from the menu that pops up from the bottom of the screen. Tapping the profile icon and then the More dots and choosing the other accounts icon switches you over, too.

This, by contrast, is a very similar account with a much broader appeal and the potential for a lot more value. I might create something like The Daily SEO and monitor the top SEO blogs I know about. When a new post is created on one of those sites, I would promote it via that account for free. I can, of course, promote my own content in the stream of other content, and it fits right in.

The main value of this account is that it pulls in value from a wide variety of sources, and thus attracts all of them as influencers who will boost your presence. If youre a quality digest, by which I mean a digest that doesnt post everything that comes along, you can gain quite a lot of influence.

Then, if you want to sell out once youve obtained a high enough following, you can set up a submission process for sites you arent currently monitoring, where they pay you to be considered for the feed.
