S To Get More Twitter Followers
So, like, how many Twitter followers do you have?
This question is a tempting one for brands to brush off, isnt it?
Heres the thing, though: you cant dismiss your follower count on Twitter as a total vanity metric.
Not only does a higher follower count mean more influence in your industry, but also signals that your audience, leads and customers are interested in your content.
According to social media statistics, nearly half of all marketers cite Twitter as their go-to network for engaging with customers. Fast-moving and so simple to use, Twitter is arguably the easiest social following to grow from scratch.
But how do you get those followers in the first place?
How Exposed Is Your Twitter Profile
That depends on your privacy and visibility settings. If you have a private account, only your Twitter followers can read your tweets, and they If they were public at one point, though, it’s possible , meaning they’re still searchable. If you have a public account, non-followers and anyone with internet access can read your tweets â and if they search certain keywords, your tweets could appear in their results .
“Your Tweets are public by default; anyone can view and interact with your Tweets,”the site notes. If you want to change that, you can make your Tweets “protected” via your account settings.
Enjoy Twitter Even Without Signing In
With these tips and tools, you can get a lot out of Twitter even if you don’t have an account. They let you keep up with the content that you care about without getting sucked into endless tweets on your timeline.
No matter whether you use an account or not, there’s a lot to know when you use Twitter. Be sure you understand how it works to get the most of it.

Shortcomings And Bugs Of Twitter Fleets
As Twitter Fleets are right now in the testing phase, there are not a lot of features. You can add text, images, links, videos, and gifs, and thats about it. Theres no support for stickers and there are no text styling options. Also, while you can add hashtags and mentions in text fleets, you cannot do so in Fleets with photos and videos, which is a bummer. This gives Instagram Stories a leg above Fleets right now.
Another thing that I dont like about Fleets is that the Fleet carousel is half-sticky. What I mean by half-sticky is that it disappears when you scroll down your timeline but comes back as soon as you scroll up. It doesnt wait for you to get to the top of your timeline. And that is just annoying.
Talking about the Bugs, I encountered a few when testing Fleets. I tested Fleets on both Android and iOS devices. On iOS, when uploading a video, I was restricted to 30 seconds. But on Android, I was able to upload videos of length up to 1 minute 40 seconds. Similarly, when recording a video on Android, I was restricted to 1 minute while the feature flat out didnt work on the iPhone.
Can You See Who Views Your Instagram Profile

Instagram doesnt allow users to see who views their profile. So if you look through someones profile and dont like or comment on a post, theres no way for them to know who sees the pictures. Similar to Facebook, users are unable to see who has viewed their profiles regardless of the type of profile they own: personal, business, or creator, says Reggie Azevedo Filho, who works for the social media management platform Traject Social . This goes for both users with accounts and people without accounts who use the web to browse Instagram publicly. Instagram Business accounts will display stats about the volume of traffic but doesnt show specific profile information, according to Alex Heid, Chief Research and Development Officer at SecurityScorecard. Business accounts specifically show the number of who people visited your profile in the past seven days, or how many people saw your posts in their feed, according to an Instagram representative.

Why You Should Search Your Twitter History
Now that weve covered how you can check out all of your past tweets and account mentions, lets talk about;why you would want to do this.
It might seem tedious to go back and check on your past Twitter history, but I promise theres a method to this madness. Here are a few reasons why you want to search your Twitter history every so often.
How To Create Twitter Fleets
Creating Twitter Fleets is easy. On your profile, theres a Fleets carousel at the top. Apart from showing Fleets from people that you follow, it shows your profile picture with a + icon at the beginning.
1. Tap the icon to open the compose window.
2. Here, you can type your thoughts and paste links. Just like normal Tweets, you can post fleets up to 280 characters.
3. You can also add hashtags and mentions. Just type # or @ followed by the text and it will show you suggestions, as shown below.
4. Tap on the camera or the picture button to add images and videos.
5. Tap on the Aa button at the top-right to add text over your photos and videos.
6. Similarly, you can add gifs. It will open a window where you can search for gifs. Note that you cannot add text on top of gifs.

Is There A Third
Facebook acquired Instagram in 2012, so theres some overlap in privacy settings. So, like Facebook, no third-party apps will tell you who looks at your Instagram profile. Anything advertising a feature that shows who viewed your profile would not be a legitimate service and should be avoided as it is likely just an app that is there to collect data for those who use it, Heid says. Theres no indication that Instagram will ever decide to allow users to see who views their profile. Next, learn .
Can You See Who Views Your Twitter
Simply put, no. There is no way for a Twitter user to know exactly who views their Twitter or specific tweets; there’s no Twitter search for that kind of thing. The only way to know for sure if someone has seen your Twitter page or posts is through direct engagement â a reply, a favorite, or a retweet.
That said, if a user wants to have a general idea about how many people have seen a tweet, they can do so by visiting the page. This page will show the number of impressions and engagement .

The Browser Extensions And Services Are Fake
Like with Facebook, its easy to find browser extensions that claim to let you know whos viewed your Twitter Profile. We recommend;being careful installing browser extensions;from companies you dont trust, and most extensions that offer these features dont come from big, reputable companies. Plus, even the extensions that are not outright scams just trying to steal your data wont work the way you hope. Instead, they only notify you when someone else who also has the extension installed visits your Twitter profile.
RELATED:
While that sounds like it might be interesting, this means the extension is keeping track of every site you visit in case you visit someones profile who also has the extension installed. Im not sure about you, but I definitely dont think providing an extension with all my browsing data is a good trade off to possibly be notified if someone else who happens to use the same extension views my profile.
There are also some third-party services that arent browser extensions out there, but they still oversell what they can do. These services all plug into Twitters API and can indeed do things like notify you when you gain or lose a follower, or when someone mentions you. But thats hardly the same as telling you who views your profile or a specific Tweet. The better engagement tracking services like Crowdfire dont oversell what they can do.
Can I Use An App To See Who Visited My Twitter Profile
Just like with browser extensions, there is no app that you can use to see the actual usernames of accounts that visit your Twitter profile. However, you can use certain apps as an alternative to Twitter Analytics. The two best apps to use to measure and analyze your engagement are HootSuite and Crowdfire.
While neither app can provide you with specific information about who views your profile, they will offer you accurate insights into your profiles engagement. Moreover, both of these apps will let you know which posts get the most attention, how many views your profile has every day, as well as the number of accounts that see your tweets.
Both apps offer a free version, but only Crowdfire offers an unlimited free account. On the other hand, HootSuite only gives you a 30-day free trial. If you dont want to pay for an app, there is a much safer alternative, and thats Twitter Analytics.

What Is Twitter Spaces
Twitter Spaces is a place for users to host rooms where speakers can hold audio conversations. Listeners are able to tune in and can also request to speak, allowing them to step onto the virtual stage to share their thoughts and ask questions. And because theres no video aspect to Twitter Spaces, you dont have to worry about being camera-ready.
Beta testing for this feature began in November 2020. During this testing phase, all users had access to listen and speak within a Space, however only a small group was given access to hosting capabilities. It wasnt until May 2021 that hosting Spaces became an option for all Twitter users that had at least 600 followers. Since then, many business owners are giving Spaces a go and figuring out how it fits into their overall content strategy.
Since Spaces has become available, Twitter has announced they are taking it up a notch by also offering a way to monetize the audio conversations you host on the platform. Ticketed Spaces are currently in the beta testing phase, allowing users the ability to charge anywhere from $1 to $999 for a ticket to attend a Space.
How Many Fake Followers Do You Have

A while back, Twitter revealed;that over 20 million of its users were bots. With that many automated accounts, its likely that you have at least a small percentage of ;bots following you. Although;these accounts beef up your follower count, they;dont add real value.
While some brands intentionally use deceptive tactics like buying fake followers, you could be Tweeting to an audience of bots without even knowing it. These bots mass follow random accounts to appear like real users. So if your account ends up on their list you could be one of the people they follow. The first step in analyzing your Twitter followers is spotting the fakes.
Aside from not wanting to look sketchy an deceptive, one of;the main reasons you want to find your number of fake followers is because they can skew your data. For instance, if your Twitter analytics show your audience is 70% male but 30% of your followers are fake, that number might not be entirely accurate.
Heres a handy tool you can use to get an idea of how many fake followers you have.
These numbers might not be exact, but itll give you a rough idea to start with. If a large percentage of your followers are bots, youll probably want to work on growing your audience first.

Can You See Who Views Your Tweets On Twitter
There is no way of knowing exactly which accounts have viewed your tweets. On the other hand, you can find out the number of accounts that viewed and interacted with your tweets.
If youre wondering how visible your tweets are in the first place, it depends on whether your Twitter profile is public or private. If you have a private account, there is no need to worry. Only your followers can see and interact with your tweets. Not only that, but they wont appear in the search results either.
However, if you have a public Twitter profile, anyone has the option to interact with your tweets. If accounts that dont follow you search for a specific keyword, your tweets that include that keyword can appear in the search results. Or, for example, if your profile was public at one point, but then you made it private, some tweets might still appear in the search results.

When In Doubt Tweet More Often
Versus the likes of Facebook or Instagram, Twitter requires a more aggressive content strategy.
According to data by CoSchedule, the sweet spot is anywhere between three and seven tweets per day to maximize engagement. Some brands tweet as often as 15 or 20 times per day, though, so context and competitive analysis are important here.
But given how quickly the platform moves, brands can always err on the side of posting more often rather than being reserved.
The key is to not only promote yourself. The good news? The possibilities for filling up your content calendar are seemingly endless.
Tweets from your followers. Relevant industry articles. Buzzworthy stats. Breaking news. Personal updates. The list goes on and on.
With shoppers of all ages wanting and needing less, marketers need to understand consumers’ desire for authenticity and it’s impact on their strategies. via:

With the help of;social scheduling;software, you can regularly queue up content without having to constantly tweet in real-time. This effectively allows you to attract new followers around the clock.
Disadvantages Of Protecting Tweets
If the aim of your Twitter account is to promote your business and its services, protecting tweets severely limits this. Each follow request must be specifically approved and interesting updates you share cannot be retweeted. Any potential customer or interested client visiting your Twitter profile will not be able to view your updates if the account is protected. In most cases, Twitter accounts are best left public — just be aware that anything posted to them can be seen by anyone.
